draggy sunday

on loop: high ~ lighthouse family

it's a very monotonous sunday morning... i've been lying around and eating the entire day. rarr. but i could really use the rest, after a long week. i'd love to go back to the beach kahit sandali lang, away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. wala lang. aside from being a monotonous day, it's also a very lazy one for me. i've been meaning to fix my site and put up the links and stuff but the weather's too warm and i'm just too lazy hehe. sorry :) will do next time, promise.

speaking of vacations, beaches and warm weathers, our company is sponsoring a trip to malaysia for next week wednesday. this is a collaborative team-building seminar for upcoming supervisors. it actually serves a dual purpose since all the higher-ups and the promotees would get to spend some time together and participate in the annual Intel (Pentium) Conference to be held in malaysia as well. expense will be very minimal for the 4 day trip since a bulk of the stuff to pay for would be shouldered by Dell USA and SRTP already. i asked permission from my dad already and he said it was allright with him, but the problem is that my papers and my passport's all messed up and i'm not sure if i have enough time to fix it. another option would be Palawan, especially for those who don't have their passports ready and can't really fit it into their scheds to go out of the country, but most everyone's vouching for malaysia. bummer. hope i could come...

along my train of thought, i was just thinking how time flies by so fast. it's been six months since i started on my job. wow. i never expected to last so long. it's been hard, but fun at the same time. some people looked down on call centers, thinking it's a no-nonsense job. i admit, i used to not think so much of this job, but ever since i was able to experience it, i realized how wrong i was. it's every bit as serious and difficult as all those high-falutin jobs makati offices and stuff offer. in fact, i think it's also incredibly pressuring since you have to deal with metrics and goals, every single HOUR. deadlines aren't by the week or month, it's by the HOUR and there's no one to help you out. just every man for himself. it may be asy to get in, but it's even easier to be terminated, people get terminated every single day and new people come in nearly every week. and to correct someone, it's no place for child's play.
